I played four years of collegiate golf: two years at Frank Phillips and two years at West Texas State University.

I have a son who graduated from Hereford High School in 1992 and a daughter who graduated from Hereford High School in 1995

I began teaching Social Studies and coaching golf for Hereford High School in 1973.  After 6 years of teaching and coaching I became Assistant Principal at Stanton Junior High in 1979 and served in that capacity for four years at which time I became Principal at Stanton Junior High.  In 1985 I was named Principal at Herford High School and served there for twelve years at which time I became Assistant Superintendent for Support Services. I remained in that position for 20 years until my retirement in 2017 for a total of 44 years in HISD.

In August of 2017 I became the DAEP Hearings Officer and the UIL representative for the Hereford Independent School District.
